





Elyse Dunnahoo, trained in the discipline of classical realism, is inspired by North light. "Its beauty exudes a since of serenity and calm as it blankets the still life." Her works are designed to exemplify a brief moment in time, a quick glance at undisturbed calm. Elyse says: "My goal as an artist is to express the beauty and uniqueness of each form as it surrenders to gravity at rest in stillness with quiet ease."
Elyse, an avid cyclist and runner, founded "Koulius Zaard," a women's cycling apparel and manufacturing design company based out of San Francisco. Elyse designed all athletic wear for the cycling elite and enthusiast.
She adds a contemporary element to the classical sensibility in her paintings by using patterened fabrics of geometric shapes, a direct influence from her design work with Koulius Zaard.

Elyse Dunnahoo graduated from the University of California, Irvine, with a B.S. in Biological Sciences, studied with Ted Seth Jacobs, master painter, instructor, and author of : Light For The Artist, Drawing With A Open Mind, and The Dictionary of Human Form.
She studied in Santa Fe, New Mexico with Anthony Ryder, master painter, instructor, and author of: The Artist's Guide To Figure Drawing: A Contemporary Perspective on the Classical Tradition.
Elyse studied at Studio Escalier (Montmartre, France) and 6 weeks of independent study at the Louvre Museum, Paris, France.
Elyse is a certifiied Equinology Equine Body Worker, founder/ owner of Tandem Hands Equine Bodywork. Massage bodywork embraces the whole horse through specific hand and fingertip techniques concertrating on muscle and facia by manualy kneading, stretching, squeezing, and compressing individual muscles. Her body work sessions are for all horses and focus on their physical and mental wellness by providing increased blood and oxygen flow along with the realignment of muscle fibers effectivey improving the horse’s flexibility, suppleness, range-of-motion, and overall wellbeing.
